Description
Teuscher Walpole is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Audit Associate to join our growing team. The ideal Audit Associate candidate will have strong organizational skills, exceptional accuracy, and keen attention to detail. You should be eager to learn, an active listener, and proactive in both problem-solving and asking questions when necessary. In this role, you will engage with clients directly, so comfort in client interactions is essential. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze financial statements for accuracy and consistency.
  • Conduct tests of controls to ensure compliance with client company policies.
  • Review legal documentation such as contracts, leases, patents, and trademarks.
  • Communicate audit findings and answer client questions, both verbally and in writing.
  • Prepare reports summarizing audit results and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct field audits of company operations or work sites to ensure that they are complying with laws and regulations.
  • Gather business practice information through interviews with management and stakeholders.
  • Analyze data to identify risks or opportunities for clients.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • Strong computer skills and experience in a paperless work environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and CaseWare.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to proactively engage with clients.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Client service-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
