With a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Westminster College, he embarked on his professional journey with renowned firms like Arthur Andersen and Touche Ross (now Deloitte & Touche), honing his skills and insights.

Throughout his career, Mike has demonstrated his commitment to clients, ranging from those with annual sales exceeding $1 billion to smaller enterprises with $1 million in sales. His extensive experience spans diverse industries, including manufacturing, oil and gas, and real estate. Mike’s professional repertoire also encompasses working with client’s legal team in estate planning, trust taxation and succession planning. He has significant experience with Qualified Opportunity Funds.

In the realm of taxation and accounting, Mike is a seasoned expert. He has worked with public companies, closely held entities, and governmental organizations, addressing intricate needs with finesse. His proficiency encompasses areas like cost segregation studies, mergers and acquisitions, business entity planning, and individual planning for high-net-worth clients. Mike’s capabilities encompass writing tax opinions, compliance, consulting, and advising on the selection of operating entities, accounting for partnerships, and delivering comprehensive reports to partners.

Over the last 20 years, Mike has dedicated his efforts to clients in southeast Alaska, significantly contributing to the growth and success of the firm. Beyond his work, he is a Certified Valuation Analyst and an active member of esteemed professional associations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, and the Alaska Society of CPAs.
