Description
Teuscher Walpole is seeking a highly organized and dedicated Tax Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a commitment to providing exceptional client service. Tax Associates will be responsible for small business accounts, tax return preparation and conducting financial statement audits and reporting. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates or those looking to gain experience in the field!
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide tax compliance and consulting to a diverse range of clients.
  • Prepare and review tax returns, financial reports, and other accounting documents in a paperless environment.
  • Gather and analyze client information to prepare accurate tax returns.
  • Collaborate with the tax team on tax preparation, planning, client integration, and special projects.
  • Participate in professional development and training sessions regularly.
  • Assist with auditing, cost segregation and other tax-related services as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • Strong organizational and client service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and CaseWare.
  • Ability to work in a paperless office and adapt to new technology.
  • Strong communication and professionalism.
  • Previous experience in tax preparation or public accounting is a plus but not required.
  • Proactive, client-focused approach with a strong work ethic.
