Description
Teuscher Walpole is seeking a well-organized and detail-oriented Audit Manager committed to delivering superior client service. The ideal candidate will possess excellent critical thinking skills and a strong background in performing audits, including documenting process flows, assessing the design and operational effectiveness of internal controls, and working independently with minimal supervision. As an Audit Manager, you will play a key role in practice development, leading marketing efforts for the firm while building long-term client relationships, with potential advancement to partner for the right fit. Flexibility to work overtime during peak seasons is expected.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all phases of audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, and client communication.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior leadership to deliver quality audits in accordance with industry and firm standards.
  • Supervise and mentor audit staff, ensuring timely, accurate completion of work.
  • Organize and plan multiple engagements and establish workload priorities.
  • Should be able to express professional issues in clear and understandable written and oral communication.
  • Contribute to firm growth through business development and client service excellence.
  • Personal characteristics desired are trustworthiness, integrity, professional in appearance, in attitude and commitment to client service and ability to be a leader.
Qualifications
  • 6+ years of audit experience, including advanced assignments in planning, fieldwork and client service
  • Licensed CPA with deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, GAAS and Sarbanes-Oxley legislation.
  • Proven ability to lead audit teams and mentor associates.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
