Michael J. Teuscher, CPA, CVA

Mike is the Tax Director of Teuscher Walpole. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Westminster College. Mike began his career working with Arthur Andersen and Touche Ross (now Deloitte & Touche). Mike has served clients with annual sales from $1 million to in excess of $1 billion. He has worked extensively in manufacturing, oil and gas, and in the real estate arena. Mike has been engaged in auditing municipalities, counties, school districts, and special improvement districts.
Mike has experience in all areas of taxation and accounting that include working with public companies, closely-held entities,and governmental entities. Mike is well-versed in such areas as cost segregation studies, mergers and acquisitions, business entity planning and individual planning for clients with significant tax planning needs. His experience includes writing tax opinions, tax compliance, tax consulting, selection of operating entities, accounting for partnerships, and reports to partners.
Mike has worked with clients in southeast Alaska for the last 17 years helping the firm establish a significant client base.
Mike is also a Certified Valuation Analyst and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts and the Alaska Society of CPA’s.
Mike is a native Utahan and enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He loves the outdoors and particularly enjoys barbecuing, fishing, hunting and, when time permits, swinging his golf clubs.
